Coral Re plantation by Eco Diver India

For the past 15 years, Eco Diver India has been leading the way in coral reef conservation through their innovative coral replantation program. Using 70% of their profits, they have been able to teach the world that humans are not only destroyers of the environment, but that we can also work to reverse the damage that has been done. Their efforts have resulted in the creation of 38 coral reefs using their unique method of planting 30 corals for every scuba diver.

The man behind this incredible initiative is Dr. Sajan Pulinchery, an ecologist, researcher, and environmentalist who is passionate about protecting the planet’s delicate ecosystems. He recognized the urgent need to restore coral reefs in the Andaman Sea, which were being destroyed by factors such as pollution, climate change, and overfishing.

To combat this problem, Dr. Pulinchery developed a coral re-plantation program that involves harvesting healthy coral fragments from existing reefs and replanting them in degraded areas. This process helps to restore the health and diversity of the reef ecosystem, which in turn supports a wide range of marine life.

Eco Diver India has been implementing this program in Havelock Island, where they operate a professional diving center and resort. The program has been incredibly successful, with the creation of 38 new coral reefs in the area. The reefs have attracted a diverse array of marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and even dolphins.
